Flosstradamus dropped a bomb with his new remix of Flux Pavilion’s original “Do Or Die”. Honestly, until this track was released I was “meh” about Flossy, but that was only because I hadn’t seen them live. After hearing this track, I’m a true believer that these dudes get rowdy live. Props on the homies for remixing “The Don” Flux Pavilion, and making it sound nastier than the original. My ears needed this fresh sound!
Conor Patton’s journey to becoming Conro has been a lifelong endeavor. At the young age of seven, Patton began playing classical violin in multiple youth symphonies, developing a sense of musicality that would stay with him for years to come. Additional immersion in piano, guitar and singer/songwriter production would provide him with the talent and drive to take his musical career to the next level. Little did he know that these diverse influences would translate to a style of electronic music that has the ability to permeate the mainstream while staying true to his innate sense of melody and rhythm.
Conro began opening for artists such as SOFI, Kill the Noise and DJ Craze in late 2011 in his home base of Kelowna, BC. At only 22, this burgeoning producer’s audio engineering background, relentless work ethic and curious musical palate will ensure his name is one that music fans constantly mention. Combining these traits with a love of contemporary electronic artists, including Wolfgang Gartner, Tommy Trash and Zedd, Conro’s style and enthusiasm makes him a welcome addition to the EDM scene, where artistic integrity is too often sacrificed. Conro is looking to keep passion and credibility in the creation of dance music and that’s why 2013 will be his year.
“My intention with my music, is to make futuristic electronic hip hop beats. The process I use comes from the school of thought from early hip hop, more specifically the late 80′s early 90′s – digging up old records and chopping them up to make something entirely new. That period influenced my beat making more than any. I then give my tracks that powerful electronic build out because it’s fun, great for the dance floor, and I love doing it.
The coolest thing for me, is that I am with a crew who shares very similar views and is arguable the best at this style. I’m beyond thrilled to take part in the PLM movement.”
SuperVision plans on following up this record with a steady flow of remixes, collaborations, and singles this summer and fall. Fans can count on him to continue to push to new levels of skill, to grow as any master would, forever improving.
