After releasing his #BASSMOB album earlier this month and several singles since, Gregory “5 & A Dime” Kantor is back again with his fourth album, #BASSMOB II – Return To Never Never Land. This new album features thirteen sick new mashup tracks which are all available for free download. Take a listen and be sure and throw 5 & A Dime some love on his Facebook page. Enjoy!
Last month, Zeds Dead released their remix for The Electric’s song “Toot Toot”. This tune intially flew under the radar. It was featured on one of the mixes the duo did for BBC’s Mista Jam, but other than that, made no significant appearances. The original version of this track was quite strange. Very odd, actually. Curious as to how they managed to complete such a transformation. Some terrific sound design, meaty synths and a freaky low end- something that most of their tracks showcase on behalf of the group. Zeds’s tunes really have no bounds. Always managing surprising original while at it, they have remixed everything from Moody Blues to Sublime, and the Foo Fighters to Radiohead. If you caught this track the first time around, here is your chance to reminisce. If this is your first, here is your chance to grab that download. Enjoy. Direct Download
Hayden Kramer, known as HeRobust, is an Atlanta based producer that has been blending genres ever since he emerged onto the electronic music scene in early 2011. HeRobust’s debut EP, Albumin, was released on Saturate Records in February of 2011 and was quickly recognized by industry leaders such as XLR8R, Vice, and Jay Scarlet of Beat Dimensions. Soon after, heRobust found himself shared the stage with the likes of Flying Lotus, Daddy Kev, Gaslamp Killer, Salva, NiTGrit, Shlohmo, Shigeto and many more. February of 2012 marked Hayden’s second release, the Late Night / Morning After double album. The release was met with rave reviews all over the internet, select tracks even finding there way to the featured page on Vimeo, top 50 on hypeM, and a feature on Diplo label Mad Decent’s blog. His newest track is a super dope remix of Flux Pavilion’s face melter “Bass Cannon”. The properly named remix has a grimey, hip-hop feel to it, and will subconsciously make you start mean muggin’ the computer screen as your head bobs to the beat. HeRobust managed to combine all the major elements of “Bass Cannon” , and turned the feel of the original song into something completely different and fresh. Throw your hoodie up, press play, and be sure and hit up the free download. Enjoy!
