Big Gigantic & Paper Diamond- Iowa City, IA

Big Gigantic and Paper Diamond’s performance at Blue Moose Tap House in Iowa City, IA on 2/29/12 was out of this world. The event was sold out and the venue was packed! Paper diamond opened up the show as if he was the main event, he threw down some nasty remixes and tons of bass blasting beats that had the crowd going nutz. Paper Diamond set the bar high, but Big G flew over that bar with miles to spare. He dropped multiple tracks from his new album Nocturnal, as well as some personalized saxophone remixes to flux pavilion’s “louder”, wiz khalifa’s “black and yellow”, and Lil Boosie’s “Wipe Me Down”, to name a few. He also played tracks from his various other albums, and two of my personal favorites- Get em high (remix), and I need a dollar (remix). There was not a dull moment during his performance, he kept the bass comin, the sax blastin, and the people dancin. The only part of the show that caught me off guard was the super dirty dubstep he snuck in. Pleasant surprise to say the least. The light show was surprisingly good for such a small venue, but Big G’s crew pulled off an amazing show. Multiple times during his performance the lights behind Big G illuminated an uncanny silhouette. The Crunch Bunch that attended the event can’t wait for our next opportunity to return to Blue moose tap house, the atmosphere inside was buzzing with electricity and everyone inside had one goal only… To rage their faces off! Mission accomplished! -”Stay Crunchy” -The Crunch Bunch
